Daniel Craig has zero but praise for his "Cowboys & Aliens" co-star, Indiana Jones himself, Harrison Ford.
"I'm a vast fan of his and have been and I stay so," Craig, 43, told On The Red mat. Com host Rachel Smith at San Diego Comic-Con. "He's a lovely man, very funny and is sort of bigger-than-life than he is really on screen."
"Cowboys & Aliens" is directed by Jon Favreau, who helmed the "Iron Man" movies. It combines the Western and sci-fi genres and is based on a 2006 explicit novel by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg.
The movie is set in 1873. Craig plays a loner named Jake, who wakes up one day with no memories. He learns that he is a criminal who is wanted by the likes of Ford's nature, Colonel Dolarhyde, the ruler of the town. The two must unite for a greater reason - to defeat invading aliens. Olivia Wilde of the FOX medical drama "House M.D." plays Ella Swenson, a traveler.
Ford also complimented Craig in return, telling OnTheRedCarpet.com that Craig is "a wonderful actor. He's a very generous actor. He was on this picture well before I was involved. I loved working with him, he's a great guy."
Ford is no stranger to the sci-fi and adventure film genres - he stars as the title character of Indiana Jones in the movie franchise by the same name and played the swashbuckling Han Solo in the early "Star Wars" films.
Craig, who is best known for his role as James Bond in the new films in the hit spy permit, made headlines in June when he wed actress Rachel Weisz in a low-key wedding in upstate New York. The two star together in the horror movie "Dream House," which is set for release on September 30.
