“In high school, I had to work several jobs to save enough to buy a prom dress,” Greene said in a statement. “It was so worth it: I had a blast at prom! Every girl should have the chance to have that experience.”
The actress has given several of her red carpet gowns to the cause, and this year, is donating the white Lela Rose dress she wore to the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball.
In addition to her contributions, Greene is hosting a live Twitterview for fans on Wednesday, March 23, from 4:30-4:45 p.m. on twitter.com/donatemydress. Girls can Tweet questions about dressing for prom, doing makeup and hair, handling date and friend dilemmas, and Greene will write back in real time.
